An Entrepreneur and Author Advocating for At-Risk Students
My name is William Tandy and I am the founder and Executive Director of Hope for Homes a nonprofit organization founded to provide services to first time home buyers. I am a football coach, motivational speaker, and principal. Currently, I am writing a book about a college freshman who plays basketball and wants to go pro.
What I Do
As one of Detroit’s most aggressive and outspoken developers of youth, I demonstrate a great talent for motivating and leading others.
I have spoken to gang members regarding community and social responsibility as well as members of Congress regarding the plight of low-income first-generation students. I speak to High school and College students as well as NFL players regarding social issues plaguing America.
This has led me to create Live to Learn Educational Consultants, a program designed for at-risk students either to graduate from high school ready for today’s job market or to achieve their dreams of going to college.
About Live To Learn
This program provides counseling, tutorial services, male/female responsibility, test preparation, social development, character education, and a host of other academic and life skills in order to help students graduate from a post-secondary institution.
