About William Tandy
He has been a strong and dominate force in the city of Detroit, as the founder of Live to Learn Educational Consultants; he provides numerous services to families, NFL players, college students, collegiate athletes and students from elementary to high school. His consulting firm provides individual and group counseling, substance use and abuse prevention, conflict resolution, character education, bullying education as well as male and female responsibility just to name a few. Mr. Tandy also provides workshops, professional development and training opportunities to schools, groups and businesses.
Grants for Low-Income Students
I am also proud of successfully writing grants worth more than $7.5 million dollars to help first-generation low-income students achieve their dreams by being the first in their families to enroll in the university.
An Exceptional Football Coach
My passion is coaching football—I was the head football coach for Loyola High School and was the head coach for the West Side Cubs. It has been one of the winningest programs in the country for 22 years. I was a part of a great staff that motivated and led the Cubs. As a result, we won an amazing 15 out of the past 18 championships. For these efforts, The American Youth Football Association inducted me into the National American Youth Football Hall of Fame.
